Wow... so it's been a couple of years since I've been here. I honestly thought my account might be gone by now.

There has been art done in the past two years, however much of it I am not ready to display. Working on a couple of things... a book for one.  

There has been photography in that time that I would display, however. Maybe I'll do that... for anyone who's still actually interested in my handiwork.

I LIVE!!!

After a REALLY long hiatus, I am BACK baby! What's the difference between now and little over 2 years ago? I am now a Masters graduate! YES!! I'm finally done with grad school!!

Well. Now that I have that much more free time, I plan to get back to artin'. I have regrettably let my artistic habits fall to the wayside in the past couple of years. Blame my grad school classes. They had to take priority and, once I was done with doing that work, I had little push to do much else. Those classes absorbed most of my brain power and will power, which would only leave me enough for some mindless artwork, when I could actually sit down and do some. And, while some of it is pretty good, I don't like that it was mindless and I want to get myself out of that rut. Otherwise, it won't get any better.

So, what does it mean for the future? It means more updates! I have a bunch of artwork that is in sketch stage, some of it scanned (that's something else on my to-do list... kick my scanner into submission). So the stuff that's scanned will be finished up in the next few weeks and then there should be a flurry of activity on here. That'll feel good, won't it? WON'T IT!! Say yes!

Just a quick note to those who know and have been waiting..and WAITING. The Splurd forums are back up again! Go to Splurd.com and click on the Forums tab, as the actual URL has changed.

The calendar is offically being printed! *confetti!!*

The images have been done for a couple of days now and I've been back and forth with Kinko's with proofs and making corrections and finally the print job has begun. I will post the remaining zodiac signs, Aries, Libra and Capricorn, shortly. I will also be at Otakon in the artist's alley, selling these calendars and individual prints of the calendar pictures. Because I didn't realize how much time it would take to get, go over and correct the proofs (this is a learning process for me after all), I may...MAY not have the full calendars on Friday but I WILL have them Saturday and Sunday. There will only be 20 calendars to start. It's already gotten praise from people in Kinkos and people where I work, so I have high hopes. If it sells well, I will put some more polish on the pictures and do another run in time for the AnimeUSA convention. If I can get someone other than Kinko's to do it, that'll be even better! ...not to say Kinko's did a poor job, judging from the latest proof, but they have a tendency to put their name on your stuff somehow and make it crazy expensive to do anything outside of one of their pre-set packages. Thankfully, the calendar I had them do wasn't SO bad about that, but I digress...

*edit* There are now only 17 calendars available! 3 are already claimed! They're priced at $15 a piece. And the individual prints will be $3.

For those of you keeping track, I have some more glimpses of my upcoming calendar up to be seen. I've uploaded the images for Scorpio, Cancer, Leo and Taurus.

Sagittarius and Pisces could show up later this evening or tomorrow.
